Your ideas as an outline.
Your outline as boxes.
Your boxes as a document.

ListoBox keeps three views of the same content in sync at all times: the outline you type, the nested-box map, and the Word or PDF document you deliver. Change one, all three follow.

No credit card · First PDF in five minutes

One content. Three synchronized views.

You never copy anything over: the outline, the boxes and the document are three projections of the same tree. What you fix here is already fixed there.

The outline

Type, indent, reorder — Enter, Tab, Alt+arrows. Structure moves at the speed of thought, and pasted Markdown keeps its formatting.

The boxes

Every branch becomes a nested frame: move it, color it, rearrange it. This is the map that shows what the list hides.

The document

Clickable table of contents, numbering, cover page in your colors: the Word or PDF deliverable lays itself out, from first draft to signed version.

And in your line of work?

Specification, audit report, training program, works description, technical rider: the name changes, the job is the same — structure a thought, then deliver it as a clean document.

Are you an IT project manager or a business analyst?

It's 10 pm, the steering committee is tomorrow, and spec_v3_final_v2.docx just met spec_v3_final_v2 (1).docx. You are renumbering requirements by hand while the scope keeps moving. Writing functional specifications should not be a fight against a word processor.

REQ-042 · The system shall log every approval.

A requirement tree, not a Word file

Typed requirements, explanations and comments; numbering follows every move, the hierarchy stays true.

Standard phrasing in one click

“The system shall…” applied at export, with optional AI rewording — your own OpenAI, Mistral or Ollama key, previewed before applying.

The right format for every reader

Word or PDF specification for the client, Excel matrix for acceptance testing, draw.io diagram for the architect.

Structure my next specification

Are you an organization consultant?

The engagement is done, the interviews are rich, the readout is Friday. And here you are at midnight in PowerPoint, aligning rectangles that no longer quite match the Word report open next to them.

Map · Your organization · Firm logo + client logo

The map IS the report

Nested boxes draw the organization while you structure your notes; the diagram and the text can no longer drift apart.

A deliverable in your brand

Dual-logo cover page — your firm and your client — prefilled the moment the project is created, headers and footers included.

The readout in one click

PDF for the presentation, Word for the client's amendments, draw.io for their internal team. Without an hour of layout work.

Map my next engagement

Are you a trainer or a training organization?

The audit is coming, and your programs live in fourteen Word files — one per funder, two per vintage, none quite up to date. Every new session starts with a hunt for the right document.

Module 3 · Sequence 2 · Hands-on workshop — 45 min

One program = one tree

Objectives → modules → sequences → activities: the teaching structure is visible, checkable, and reorderable in two keystrokes.

Documents ready for the audit

Numbered session plan, PDF with your organization's logo, dated cover page: the same tree produces both the program and the plan.

Duplicate, adapt, deliver

A tailored session? Duplicate the project, adjust the sequences, re-export. Sticky notes keep your facilitation notes on the side.

Get my programs in shape

Are you an architect or a site supervisor?

Monday, client meeting: package 06 disappears, two work items migrate to package 05, and the whole works description needs renumbering by hand. Meanwhile, yesterday's version is already circulating among contractors.

Package 05 — External joinery · 05.2.1 Fixed frames

Packages, work items, requirements

The description tree reorganizes by drag and drop, and the numbering follows — across all three views at once.

Detail level per audience

Depth thresholds produce, from the same tree, the summary notice for the client and the detailed description for contractors.

Under the firm's letterhead

Cover page, logos, headers and footers: every Word or PDF export comes out in your practice colors, dated and paginated.

Structure my next works description

Do you organize events?

D-30. The caterer asks for “the document”. It exists — partly in a spreadsheet, partly in three emails, the rest in your head. Every vendor has a different version of the same event.

Venue ✓ · Caterer ✓ · Left: sound & light rider

The whole event on one outline

Venues, vendors, tasks, deadlines: a single tree, reorderable as the project moves.

The big picture of the big day

The boxes show the event at a glance — who does what, where, in what order — and rearrange themselves with you.

One document per audience

PDF brief for the client, per-vendor sheets via depth thresholds, sticky notes for team reminders.

Lay out my next event

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a specification with ListoBox?

Start from an outline: context, goals, scope, requirements. Type each line (requirement, explanation, comment), let the numbering follow, then export to Word or PDF with the standard “The system shall…” phrasing. The cover page and table of contents are generated automatically.

Is ListoBox really free?

Yes, the tool is free: projects, views and exports, with no credit card and no hidden limit. AI rewording is optional and uses your own key. And your documents stay exportable at any time.

Which export formats are available?

Word (.docx), PDF, draw.io, Excel, CSV, Markdown and PNG. Word and PDF exports include the cover page, table of contents, numbering and, optionally, comments as native annotations.

Can several people work on a document?

Yes: invite collaborators by email, as viewers or editors. Saving is automatic; there is no real-time co-editing — last save wins. Shared sticky notes act as a discussion thread next to the content.

How does AI rewording work?

You plug in your own key (OpenAI, Mistral, Ollama, LM Studio…). In the editor, the rewording shows as a preview before being applied; at export, it smooths the requirement grammar. Encrypted key, visible usage, and if the AI fails, the standard export takes over.

Can I import an existing document?

Paste indented text or Markdown: headings, lists, bold and italics are recognized and become structured lines. You can also use the import in the File menu.

Your next document starts as a list.

Create an account, type three lines, watch the boxes appear — and export your first PDF within five minutes.
